We collect and use the following information:
Information you provide us directly
a) Your name, e-mail address and password when you register your Beyond account.
b) Profile information that you provide for your user profile including your photo and description. This information allows us to help you to be found by others on Beyond.
c) User Content (e.g., photos, comments, and other materials: e.g. meta data as categories or tags) that you post to the Service
d) Communications between you and Beyond. For example, we may send you Service-related emails (e.g., account verification, account lock out). Note that you may opt out of Service-related e-mails only by deleting your account and thus stopping using the Beyond service.
e) You may opt out from any other communication sent to you by the Service by clicking on the unsubscribe link.
Using privacy mode
After enabling the privacy mode the Service operates in a privacy mode.
All photos submitted during the period of privacy mode will only be shown to you and people you authorize to. Only people authorized to follow you will be able to access your collection.
In private mode you will be asked to approve each potential follow request.
After registration for the Service each new user will be sent a welcome e-mail with a verification link. In order to fully use the Service the User will be asked to click / tap on the link in order to fully activate the account.
Deletion of the account
You may choose to delete your account at any time. Beyond may keep some of your data for a commercially reasonable period of time for backup, archival, or audit purposes.
Inviting friends to join you in Beyond
You can choose the “invite friends” feature to invite other people to Beyond either via (i) your contacts list or (ii) third-party social media sites.
If you choose to find your friends through (i) your device’s contacts list, then Beyond will attempt to access your contacts list to allow you to invite some of your contacts to use Beyond. The invitation is a personalized e-mail with a link to access the Beyond app.
Gathering and using of analytical information
Beyond Service uses third-party analytics tools to help us measure traffic and understand usage trends for the Service. These tools collect information sent by your device or our Service. The objective of these measurements is a continual improvement of the Service. Our evaluations exclude analysis of single particular users.
How do we store your personal data and content?
Your information collected through the Service may be stored and processed in the Germany, Ireland, USA or any other country in which Beyond or its Service Providers maintain facilities. Beyond or Service Providers may transfer information collected by the Service about you, including personal information across borders and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world. Same data protection laws and rules may vary from country to country. We use commercially reasonable protection mechanisms to help keep the information collected through the Service secure and take reasonable steps (such as requesting a unique password) to verify your identity before granting you access to your account. However, we cannot ensure the security of any information you transmit to Beyond or guarantee that information on the Service may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.
Please note that is crucial that you do your part to help us achieve this goal. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique login and password, and for controlling access to emails between you and Beyond at all times. Your privacy settings may also be affected by changes the social media services you connect to Beyond make to their services. We are not responsible for the functionality, privacy, or security measures of any other organization.
How does Beyond use your information?
a) remember information so you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the Service;
b) provide, improve, test, and monitor the effectiveness of Beyond Service
c) develop and test new features
d) monitor metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns
e) diagnose or fix technology problems
Sharing User Content on Beyond
We may share your user content with the following parties:
We may share your information as well as information from tools like cookies, log files, and device identifiers and location data, with third-party organizations that help us provide the Service to you (“Service Providers”). Our Service Providers will be given access to your information as is reasonably necessary to provide the Service under reasonable confidentiality terms.
We may remove parts of data that can identify you and share anonymized data with other parties. We may also combine your information with other information in a way that it is no longer associated with you and share that aggregated information.
You may choose to share your User Content with the following parties:
Any information or content that you voluntarily disclose for posting to the Service, such as User Content, becomes available to the public, as controlled by any privacy settings that you set. To change your privacy settings on the Service, please enter your profile page and change your profile setting. Once you have shared User Content or made it public, that User Content may be re-shared by others. If you remove data that you posted to the Service, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of the Service, or if other Users or third parties using the Beyond have copied or saved that data.
What happens in the event of a change of control?
Responding to legal requests and preventing harm
We may access, preserve and share your information in response to a legal request (like a search warrant or court order) if we have a good faith belief that the law requires us to do so.
We may also access, preserve and share information when we have a good faith belief it is necessary to: detect, prevent and address fraud and other illegal activity; to protect ourselves, you and others, including as part of investigations; and to prevent death or imminent bodily harm. Information we receive about you may be accessed, processed and retained for an extended period of time when it is the subject of a legal request or obligation, governmental investigation, or investigations concerning possible violations of our terms or policies, or otherwise to prevent harm.
The Provider does not knowingly collect any information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register for or use the Service. The Service and its content are not directed at children under the age of 13. In the event that we learn that we have collected data from a child under age 13 without parental consent, we will delete that data as quickly as possible.
